It’s that time of the year again – International Women’s Day!
A day that means a lot to me because, throughout my career, I have seen the incredible impact that strong, ambitious, and inspiring women have – both in leadership and in business. I have witnessed how diversity leads to better decision-making, stronger teams, and more sustainable growth.
But we are far from reaching the finish line. We know that companies with diverse leadership perform better, are more innovative, and achieve stronger results. Yet, progress is still lagging behind. If we truly want to create change, we must accelerate action – not just talk about it, but actually do something about it.
For me, it’s about accelerating action, taking concrete steps toward more inclusive companies. This is not just a women’s agenda – it’s an agenda for growth, business development, and competitiveness. And when we do it right, it also means accelerating growth – because we ensure that all talents are utilized, and that leadership cultures foster innovation and strong results.
Through my years in leadership, I have seen how strong partnerships and collaboration across industries can move companies – and society – forward. I believe we must be conscious of how we develop the next generation of leaders and how we ensure that talent isn’t lost due to outdated structures or unconscious bias.
The Draghi report emphasizes that Europe’s economic future depends on our ability to accelerate innovation and technological development. If we want to succeed, we cannot afford to overlook women’s competencies, perspectives, and leadership.
So, let’s use this day to plant the seeds for even more progress. Let’s challenge outdated thinking, ensure more women at all leadership levels, and create solutions that drive business and society forward.
